Our Team

George’s roots traces back to Finland where his family emigrated from, of which was during a time referred as the “Great Migration” of Finns into North America. His father and his five siblings became the first generation of Finnish Americans.  Although, it was during the toughest time of the “Great Depression”, these men and women did not gripe nor did they stop working regardless of how strenuous the job was. This idea of grit has been coined by the Finnish culture as sisu – a term instilled in George growing up that became the foundation of his personal and professional focus.  This led him to establishing Sisu Wealth Management.  With this mentality, George has spent three decades guiding people in making wise investment choices through an ever-changing economy and ever-changing financial markets.

He believes in a holistic approach to financial planning and wealth management that addresses both sides of his clients’ personal balance sheet and every aspect of their finances.  These services include wealth advisory and wealth conservation strategies, building and maintaining financial and retirement strategies, addressing multi-generational and legacy planning needs; all the while, looking for solutions that are unique to each client’s objectives and aspirations.

George graduated from Baylor University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Finance.  He is a member of the International Sociology Honor Society.  And for the past 6 years, George has served on the Board of Trustees at Stephen F. Austin State University.  He is also involved in First Christian Church in his hometown of Nacogdoches as well as with the Buckingham Road Church of Christ here in Dallas.  Outside of his profession, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, practicing martial arts, and the outdoors.
